This just seems silly
Nov. 14th, 2008 09:42 amI have a couple of coworkers who have just spent the last half an hour trying to set up an internet-based shared wipeboard conference so that they can both edit a document together, in realtime. They sit in adjacent cubes.
When I quizzed them as to why they didn't just meet in one of their cubes and use the physical-based wipeboard there, they said that they wanted to avoid transcription errors.
I finally decided to write this when I heard one of them say, "So, you have permission to talk, and I have permissions to upload ZIP files." Because, of course, that's exactly what they were wanting to do with their conference.
