Busy weekend

I'm set to have a busy weekend this weekend. I'm currently on my way home to take delivery on a mattress for my bed, finally. (I've been sleeping on my futon mattress ever since I returned the tempurpedic mattress at the beginning of March so that purpleyarrow could have the money for one to be shipped to her instead... It was the cheapest shipping.)

Next, my mother arrives in town for a visit at 5:00 pm. I'm not sure what all we're going to do, but I think it will include things like the MFA, a duck tour, a trip to the museum of science, a trip to Haymarket, and other fun things.

I should have a chance to introduce my mother to tigira on Saturday night, when we go out to No Name seafood resturaunt. Here's hoping I find some food I like. Here's hoping more that my mother and tigira get along well.

By coincidence, my sister happens to be instate with her husband and my nephew, so my mother and I are heading up to see them on Sunday.

My mother stays until noon on Tuesday, at which point the estimable tigira starts moving in. At that point, I start helping as soon as I get back.

I fear that I won't be able to rest until sometime in mid-June.

Prius

I mentioned to a pair of friends last night that I'm planning on buying a Prius sometime soon. They mentioned that the last they'd heard, Toyota is badly backordered, and it will be several months before one could be delivered.

I'm not sure what to do - wait for it, and deal with my current frustration for the rest of the year? Get a conventional car? I'm thinking of asking for a cheap lease to get me by until a Prius could be delivered. I wonder if a dealership would go for that. I wonder if civic hybrids are as backordered (though I'd prefer the Prius).
