Contra dancing

tigira and I went contra dancing. It was a whirled of fun! Unfortunately, we arrived about fifteen to twenty minutes late, and the way that the night is structured meant that we missed some of the introductory material - and the dances there grow progressively more intricate as the night progresses, in general.
Still, if you are brave enough to seek out dancing partners with experience, it's easy enough to pick up. It's a whole lot of fun. I know how I'm going to be spending a lot of my Thursday nights from now on.
