Sewing a faire costume
Sep. 3rd, 2003 12:42 amTonight I've been putting together the last pieces of my ren faire costume. I already had:
Tonight I've added in a multicolored cordoroy strip jerkin. The fabric is created by sewing together two inch wide strips of cordoroy, and I've sewn a simple vest / jerkin out of that. It should look good with the shirt.
I've also taken my moccasins in to be repaired, as their soles have been falling apart. However, I'm happier that I've been able to borrow a pair of thigh-high leather boots. This is the quality piece, and I will be saving up for a pair of my own.
- A beautiful (if frilly) emerald green shirt
- A pair of breeches
- A good belt
- A tankard and tankard strap
- A pair of mocassin boots
